# Tebex Platform Fee Explained

Tebex charges a **Platform Fee** on each transaction processed through your store. This fee enables us to maintain and improve the platform, provide global infrastructure, and deliver key monetization and compliance services for creators and studios.

***

### What is the Platform Fee?

The Platform Fee is a percentage deducted from the **total transaction amount**, before taxes and gateway fees are applied. The rate depends on the type of game or platform:

* **Standard Rate**: 5%
* **FiveM**: 15%

This fee is automatically deducted and reflected in your transaction breakdown.

### What’s Included in the Platform Fee?

The Platform Fee funds a wide range of features and services to help you run a successful monetized experience.

#### 7-Day Payouts

Receive payouts every 7 days — significantly faster than the typical 30-day delay from traditional payment processors. This helps you manage cash flow with confidence.

#### Chargeback Protection

Tebex handles chargeback and dispute resolution **on your behalf**. If a chargeback occurs:

* We manage all communication and documentation.
* You keep your revenue — even if the dispute is lost.
* Tebex covers the full amount of the chargeback under our **Seller Protection**.

#### Global Payment Access

Tebex supports over **120 payment methods** to serve your global audience, including:

* Major providers (Visa, MasterCard, PayPal)
* Region-specific methods like iDeal (Netherlands), Efecty (Colombia), Bancontact (Belgium)

#### Negotiated Gateway Rates

We’ve partnered with payment providers to offer **better-than-standard** transaction fees:

* **PayPal via Tebex**: 2.49% + $0.40 (vs. standard 3.49% + $0.49)
* Reduced cross-border and currency exchange fees

These savings help maximize your profit margins on every sale.

#### Tax Handling & Compliance (VAT, Sales Tax, etc.)

As your **Merchant of Record**, Tebex manages global tax compliance, including:

* VAT and GST collection and remittance
* Local sales tax obligations across states, provinces, and countries

**Example:**

For a customer in New York City, Tebex handles:

* 4.5% NYC Local Tax
* 4.0% NY State Sales and Use Tax

You remain fully tax-compliant without needing to register or file independently.

#### Store Revenue Optimization Tools

Tebex includes built-in tools to increase sales and customer engagement:

* **Upselling**: Promote higher-tier or complementary products at checkout
* **Abandoned Basket Recovery**: Automatically re-engage users who leave without purchasing
* **Follow-Up Emails**: Send thank-you emails and offer return incentives
* **Subscription Packages**: Offer recurring plans with perks to boost retention and recurring revenue

#### Creator Codes & Influencer Support

Support influencer campaigns with unique **Creator Codes**, including:

* Revenue sharing logic built into the platform
* Automated payouts to influencers
* Access to performance analytics and sales tracking

***

### Ongoing Infrastructure & Scalability

In addition to feature access, the Platform Fee funds Tebex’s ongoing operations:

* Hosting and infrastructure scalability
* Security monitoring and fraud prevention
