# Supercharging Subscriptions

The most successful partners on Tebex have one thing in common: they've turned subscriptions on. Stores running subscriptions post a 29% higher median revenue than stores that don't.

That's a pattern, not a guarantee, plenty of other factors play into it too. But it's the direction the strongest stores on Tebex are already moving in.

### They didn't replace what was working

Turning subscriptions on doesn't mean betting your existing revenue. The partners already running them didn't swap anything out. They kept their one-off perks and packages exactly as they were, and added a subscription tier on top: VIP perks, a monthly currency drop, exclusive cosmetics. Two revenue streams, running side by side.

### They didn't build anything new

Setup for the partners already doing this looked like: define the tier, set the price, choose what's included, publish. No custom billing logic. No separate payment infrastructure to maintain. As Merchant of Record, Tebex handles renewals, dunning, and failed payment retries, so none of that landed on their plate either.

### They expected some churn, and it paid off anyway

Some players cancel. Every subscription business sees that, including the ones you already use yourself. The stores winning with subscriptions aren't the ones with zero churn. They're the ones who know a subscriber who stays is worth far more than any single purchase, and that a subscriber who feels ongoing value gets more engaged with the community, not less.

### They planned for trial cancellations instead of worrying about them

Some trial users cancel before the first charge. Normal, and the partners already running subscriptions build around it rather than around it: keep the trial short enough that value is obvious fast, and price the first paid cycle so it works even with some trial drop-off. The players who convert are the ones actually invested in the store, and they're exactly who a subscription tier is built for.

### The pattern is already there

Recurring income smooths out month-to-month cash flow. Subscribed players are the ones most likely to keep buying, keep playing, and keep recommending a store. The partners already running subscriptions aren't taking a bigger swing. They're running the model the most successful stores on Tebex are already running.

### Turn it on

Setup takes minutes, not weeks, and runs next to what you already sell. Here's how to set up your first subscription package on Tebex.

1. Go to [**Packages**](https://creator.tebex.io/packages) in your Tebex dashboard.
2. Click **Add Package**.
3. Set the package pricing to **Recurring Payment - Charge a Recurring Subscription**.
4. Set the Charge Period.
5. Name the tier and choose what's included: VIP perks, a monthly currency drop, exclusive cosmetics, whatever fits your store.
6. If you want to offer a free trial, set the trial length.
7. Publish. Your subscription tier goes live next to your existing one-time packages immediately.
