Our Footer

Upon creating your store you may notice the footer at the bottom of your store stating that it is powered by Tebex and that we are the reseller & merchant of record.

As a merchant of record platform we are under strict requirements by payment card networks, such as Visa & Mastercard, to ensure customers understand which company they are purchasing from. You are authorising Tebex to operate a webstore on your behalf and sell content that we license from you; we need to let customers know about this as clearly as possible.

Hiding the footer on your webstore is a breach of our terms and conditions and will result in us having to disable your store from public view.

FAQs

Can I hide the footer completely, even if I pay for Tebex Plus?

No. We understand this differs from other website building services you might see on the internet, but the difference is when you use Tebex to sell digital content, you're authorising us to sell it on your behalf, so customers are purchasing from Tebex directly - not you - we have an obligation to make this clear to customers.

Can I change the colour of the footer?

Yes. The colour will always match your checkout theme, which is different to your store theme. The default is light mode, although you can turn on Dark Mode here.

Why does the footer have to be there?

We have to make it clear that when customers make a purchase on your store, they're purchasing from us.
