# Tebex Footer

The **footer** at the bottom of your Tebex store indicates that your store is **powered by Tebex** and that **Tebex is the reseller and merchant of record**. This footer **cannot be hidden** or removed.

> ⚠️ **Important:** Hiding or removing the footer is a **violation of Tebex Terms and Conditions** and will result in your store being disabled from public access.

### Why the Footer Is Required

Tebex operates as a **merchant of record**, meaning we sell digital content on your behalf. To comply with strict requirements from payment networks (e.g., **Visa, Mastercard**), we must clearly display:

* Who the customer is purchasing from (Tebex)
* That Tebex is authorized to operate the store
* That we are the legal seller of licensed digital content

This clarity is a regulatory obligation—not just a branding choice.

### Footer Appearance

* The footer **inherits its color** from your **checkout theme** (not the storefront theme).
* By default, it appears in **light mode**, but you can enable **Dark Mode** [here](https://creator.tebex.io/payment-methods/settings).
* If you need a specific hex color to match your brand, contact [Creator Support](https://www.tebex.io/support-creator-form) and include your desired hex code(s).
