Regional Pricing lets you give customers a better experience when they shop in a different currency than your store’s default. Instead of charging everyone in the same currency, you can now set specific prices for each country and package. We've recently updated this feature so that, rather than setting prices by currency, you now set them by country - giving you more control over pricing worldwide.
Before you get started, you should know that:
If you choose not to accept any additional currencies, we'll always charge customer's in your stores default currency - this currency is selected at the store setup stage and cannot be changed. You can
If you had Regional Pricing setup before the 2nd June 2025, you'll be using a different version of Regional Pricing - .
After Regional Pricing is setup, we'll use the rules you define later on to determine the price and currency to charge customers.
Now all that's out of the way, let's setup Regional Pricing...
You can choose to support multiple currencies you'd like to allow customers to pay-in, you can currently choose from USD, GBP and EUR, but we plan on adding more supported pay-in currencies soon.
To choose the currencies you'd like to accept, under 'Supported Currencies' on the in the 'Regional' box, select the additional currencies you'd like customers to pay with.
Next, you'll need to configure how Regional Pricing should work on your store at a per-country level. To get started, click 'Configure' in the Regional Pricing section From there, you'll be presented with a list of countries where you can enable Regional Pricing.
If you just enable Regional Pricing for a specific country on this page without setting a per-package override (more info on this below!), you'll end up charging in whatever currency you select for that particular region; package prices will be converted from your store's default currency to the currency you wish to accept for that region.
The true power of Regional Pricing comes from setting per-package overrides - these allow you to charge more or less for any specific package you choose.
Next, scroll down to the 'Regional Pricing' section and click the button to display the section in full.
From here, you can enable overrides on a per-package level and define a price to charge customers - you can set this higher or lower than the default package price.
If you had Regional Pricing setup before the 2nd June 2025, you would have defined per-package overrides for on a per-currency basis instead of a per-country basis.
If you have configuration from the old version of Regional Pricing setup, you'll see currencies instead of countries in the per-package setup screens in the Regional Pricing section along with the tooltip displayed below:
While you can edit the overriding price for a currency you've already set, once you switch this type of override off completely, you won't be able to bring it back.
We've made this change based on feedback we've received; with our new system you can now edit the amount you charge on a per-country basis as opposed to a per-currency basis - this gives you more flexibility on how you charge your customers.
You can also select the 'Do not open a new balance' option and select a single currency that all of your payments will settle in; this can make withdrawals and managing your Tebex Wallet easier, but you will be charged fees that take place on currency conversions.
Prices will still be displayed to your customer in the currency they select via your currency selector, however at checkout the customer will be charged in the currency according to your Regional Pricing rules.
Regional Pricing itself is free; we only charge fees for currency conversion if it's needed, for example it may be needed when:
You receive a payment in a currency that your Tebex Wallet does not have open already and you have the 'Do not open a new balance' settlement option selected.
You receive a payment in a currency that your Tebex Wallet cannot hold for compliance reasons.
Currency conversion fees depend on the currency you are converting from and are as shown below:
USD - 2%
GBP - 2%
EUR - 2%
After choosing the countries you want to enable Regional Pricing in (see above), you'll need to head over to and choose a package you'd like to set per-package rules for.
By default, we'll open a new balance for every accepted currency in your Tebex Wallet where we can; this is the 'Open a new balance when possible' option. If we can't hold a currency in your Tebex Wallet for compliance reasons, we'll convert it to the currency you set as a backup in your - check your 'Settling Payments' settings for more details on this.
You could be charged additional fees for other aspects of using the Tebex Platform - for more information on fees in general,
