πŸ’¬Community Engagement

Social Media or having a presence online is really the first thing you need to consider when opening a store and selling to customers. After all, you need a customer base before you can start selling!

Tips:

Your Customers Come from Somewhere.

Social media and Discord are your greatest tool in getting people to at least look at or, interact with your store.

Community management is just as important as Development and Design.

Making sure you have a healthy customer base who is welcoming to new customers and keeps old ones is how we grow our stores.

Stuck? Ask your community.

No one knows what the customer wants better than the customer. Having a platform to interact with them is a great way to pick their brain.

If a tree falls in the woods...

If no one knows about your new product/sale - was there even a new product or sale?

Platforms:

Discord

Amazing way to foster a community and there a plethora of plugins and tools such as support ticketing systems, auto mods and events (sales/coupons). Almost a requirement in this day and age.

Twitter or β€œX” (I’m going to keep calling it Twitter.)

Albeit not the industry giant it once was, it’s an easy platform to announce and get updates on your store regularly.

YouTube

Great way to produce marketing/support resources for you and your product - algorithm also helps getting outreach for your community that you might not have reached before.

Anything Really!

Any marketing or opportunity to show your stuff should be taken - Reddit, Instagram etc. Having more presence online, always helps.
