Best Practices

Whether you’re a creator using Tebex or any game monetization platform, you should strive to maximize every opportunity from every buyer that enters your store.

This section will highlight some essential must-haves to help steer your store toward success.

Product Images

Store Images display the product you’re selling - and you want them to look good and represent clearly what you are selling. The images are the first things buyers notice when they browse your store. High-resolution and clear images are strongly recommended to improve conversion rates.

Product Description

A product description is the text that explains what a product is and why it's worth purchasing. The purpose of a product description is to supply customers with important information and get them excited about purchasing as well as the features and key benefits of the product so they're about to buy.

Subscription Products

Subscription revenue is more predictable than non-subscription revenue because it is based on recurring payments from customers. This helps businesses plan their future, forecasts and budgets more effectively. Your store's analytics will show you the most popular products, which will give you a clearer picture of what people consider most important in your store and server.

Abandoned Basket Recovery

Abandoned basket recovery sends customers a follow-up email or an in-game message if they have added items to their basket but have not yet completed the checkout. This is a great way to give your customer another chance to buy their product.

Options you can modify:

  • Email Delay - The number of minutes to wait before sending an email to the customer. We recommend a few hours.

  • Recovery Discount - Enter the percentage discount the customer should receive to entice them back to complete their purchase.

  • Categories - Select a list of categories to which the recovery discount should apply. Leave this blank if you want the discount to apply to all categories on your webstore.

  • In-Game Messages - If this feature is enabled, you can also configure messages to be sent to the customer in-game to ensure they are notified about the discount offered.

Purchase Follow-ups

Sending an email to a customer after their purchase helps them stay connected to your project and can help them return to support you again. For more info about using coupons in your store, you may find this post helpful.

Options you can modify:

  • Coupon Discount - Enter the percentage discount the customer should receive to entice them back to complete their purchase.

  • Coupon Duration - Enter the amount of time (hours, days) for the coupon duration.

  • Email Delay - How long should the delay be until the email is sent to the customer after purchasing? You can also choose the value to be in hours, days, or weeks.

  • Email Subject - The subject of the email sent to your customer. This should be worded to entice your customers to open the email, such as "Hey! Thanks for your purchase - here's a coupon code as a thank you for your support".

Creator Codes

Creator codes allow your customers to support your streamers, YouTubers, and other creators while removing all the headaches around handling payouts. You're able to create a code that will automatically send a predefined percentage of the payment to your creator's wallet.

Options you can modify:

  • Code - Unique code that names the creator code the buyer will use.

  • Revenue share - the % of revenue that will go to the creator.

  • Customer discount - the % discount received by customers.

Gift Cards

Gift Cards allow you to sell unique codes on your store which contain a balance of real currency. Customers purchase Gift Cards from your webstore and then receive an email containing a code, which they can use themselves or pass on to friends or family as a gift.

Bundles

Product bundling is a technique in which several products are grouped together and sold as a single unit for one price. This strategy is used to encourage customers to buy more products. Product bundling can increase the profits and sales of individual items over time. By grouping your items together, you can make your customers buy more than one product during a single purchase, which increases your average transaction value.

Customer Support Channels

Customer support should be a critical part of the buyer experience. Be responsive to customer inquiries and provide clear and helpful responses. Consider offering support via Discord or a ticketing system to make it easy for customers to get in touch.
