Tiered Packages

Tiers make it easy to upgrade and downgrade between different levels of subscription packages.

Tiers are used to create subscriptions delivered in levels, such as a bronze, silver, or gold membership.

When a user purchases a given tier, they'll receive everything from the lower tiers as well.

Tiers require prior approval before they can be used in your store. Please contact us to enable Tiers on your account.

Note: Tiers are not currently supported for Minecraft stores.

If you're using a custom or legacy template, please see our guide for updating your templates to support Tiers.

How To Setup Tiers

Tiers are set up in the creator panel when creating a new Category. The category should contain only the packages associated with your tiers.

  1. Select General → Enable Tiers at category creation

  2. Add packages representing your Tier levels, ex. Bronze, Silver, Gold (When setting pricing, all tiers must have the same billing cycle)

  3. To apply the tier's perks, add deliverables for When the package is purchased

  4. To reverse the perks of your tier, add deliverables for When the package is removed

  5. To regularly apply a perk at each billing period, add deliverables for When the package is renewed

Tier Deliverables

Tiers support game server commands and Discord commands as deliverables.

Deliverables for tiers are applied cumulatively. On any purchase or upgrade, the buyer receives deliverables for all of the previous packages they had not yet received.

Example A: Buying Gold from a Bronze/Silver/Gold tier will trigger the purchase deliverables for the Bronze package, the Silver package, and the Gold package.

Example B: Upgrading from Bronze → Gold will trigger the purchase deliverables for both Silver and Gold.

Example C: Downgrading from Gold → Silver will trigger the removal deliverables for Gold.

Upgrades and Downgrades

All upgrades occur in real-time. A prorated amount is immediately charged to the customer's payment method for the difference between their current tier, the upgraded tier, and the time left in the subscription.

All downgrades are processed at the end of the customer's billing period.

When a downgrade occurs, any tiers to be removed will trigger any removal deliverables to remove the tier's perks.

These are the deliverables designated as When the package is removed for each package in the tier.
