Regional Pricing

🧪 This feature is experimental right now. Only some Creators will have access at the moment.
Regional Pricing is designed to give your customers who are purchasing from your store in its non-native currency a better experience. Instead of Tebex, as it always has, charging customers in your store’s own default currency, Regional Pricing allows Creators to set - on a store and per-package basis, how Tebex should handle charging customers in different currencies.
For example, you could choose to round prices up or down on a store-wide basis. Or, maybe you want to charge customer’s in a specific region more or less for a specific package - this is now possible with Regional Pricing.
Regional Pricing only supports EUR, USD and GBP at the moment, with support for more currencies coming soon. If you choose not to setup Regional Pricing, all customers will be charged in your store's default currency.
To get started with Regional Pricing, set your store rules by adding additional currencies to the Regional Pricing section on your Project Page.
From there, just beneath this option, you’ll see a setting called ‘Regional Currency Rounding’ - this setting determines how Tebex will handle pricing unless a separate per-package rule is triggered (we’ll talk about those below!).
Additionally, you can override the store-wide rules on a per-package basis by setting per-package rules. To get started, choose a package to edit from the Packages Page and scroll down to the Pricing > Regional Pricing section.
From here, you can override the store-wide rounding option you set above, depending on how you want to charge your customers:
The prices you'll see listed by default are variable and can change according to global exchange rates.
If you'd like to fix a price in a specific currency, meaning it'll be kept the same and will no longer be variable, simply tick the 'Override' box for the currency in question and key in the price you wish to set.
To finish, click 'Update' on the Regional Pricing box, and once again on the Edit Package page when you're happy with your changes.
By default, we'll open a new balance for every accepted currency in your Tebex Wallet where we can; this is the 'Open a new balance when possible' option. If we can't hold a currency in your Tebex Wallet for compliance reasons, we'll convert it to the currency you set as a backup in your Tebex Wallet Settings - check your 'Settling Payments' settings for more details on this.
You can also select the 'Do not open a new balance' option and select a single currency that all of your payments will settle in; this can make withdrawals and managing your Tebex Wallet easier, but you will be charged fees that take place on currency conversions.
You could be charged additional fees for other aspects of using the Tebex Platform - for more information on fees in general, click here.
Regional Pricing itself is free; we only charge fees for currency conversion if it's needed, for example it may be needed when:
You receive a payment in a currency that your Tebex Wallet does not have open already and you have the 'Do not open a new balance' settlement option selected.
You receive a payment in a currency that your Tebex Wallet cannot hold for compliance reasons.
Currency conversion fees depend on the currency you are converting from and are as shown below:
USD - 2%
GBP - 2%
EUR - 2%
