This article outlines the common fees associated with using **Tebex Checkout**, including platform fees, gateway processing costs, refund and chargeback charges, withdrawal fees, and more.

### Tebex Plans

Tebex Checkout supports two account tiers:

| Starter | £0.00        | None           |
| Plus    | £12.49       | None           |

> The Starter plan is ideal for creators just getting started. You’ll still pay platform and gateway fees on all transactions.

### Platform Fees

Tebex charges a **Platform Fee** on every transaction to support development, fraud prevention, and payout infrastructure.

* **Typical Rate**: \~5%
* **May vary** by game or platform type
* Fee is deducted from the total payment amount, before sales tax or gateway fees are deducted

#### Example

* A customer pays **$23.99** on a store with a **15% platform fee**
* Platform fee charged: **$3.60** (rounded)

### 💳 Gateway Fees

Payment providers charge a **Gateway Fee** for processing transactions.

### Refund Fees

When a refund is processed:

* You are responsible for the **gateway fee on the original payment and on the refund**
* These fees are **not returned**, even if the payment is refunded

#### Example

* Gateway fee: $0.20
* Total cost for refunded transaction: **$0.40**

### Chargebacks

Chargeback handling depends on **Seller Protection** status.

| Covered by Seller Protection | No fee. Tebex covers the chargeback entirely |
| Not Covered                  | Fee of \~$20 USD. Funds held during dispute  |

### Creator Code Fee

Transactions using a **Creator Code** will incur an additional **1% fee**.\
This fee covers the cost of processing payouts to your selected creators.

### Withdrawal Fees

Tebex allows withdrawals to PayPal, local bank accounts, and wire transfers.

#### 🌍 Wire Transfers

* **Fixed Fee**: £12.00 per wire transfer
* **Supported in over 200 countries**

Wire transfers are generally **more expensive** than local bank withdrawals. Use only when local payout is unavailable.

### 💱 Foreign Exchange (FX) Fee

If you withdraw funds in a **different currency** than your Tebex Wallet is set to:

* A **2.00% FX fee** will apply
* Applies to **PayPal, bank, and wire transfers**
