Here, we'll go into the fees you might run into when using Tebex to power your checkout, we'll also go into how much each one might cost and when it is charged.
Our Platform Fee is 5% of the total transaction amount, except for FiveM where this is 15%.
This fee is taken away from the payment before you receive the money in your Tebex Wallet.
Our Platform Fee is charged by Tebex for facilitating your payment. This fee goes towards developing all the awesome features that we provide you with like our expansive range of payment methods, top-notch customer support, our amazing Seller Protection and much more.
For more information on why we charge a Platform Fee,
The exact Gateway Fee charged on each payment varies depending on the payment method the customer has chosen to use.
This fee is taken away from the payment before you receive the money in your Tebex Wallet.
Gateway Fees are charged by our payment method partners, , these fees go to the companies that provide the actual payment methods that customers use themselves like PayPal, iDeal and Klarna for example. These fees do not go to Tebex and we do not make a profit on them.
In fact, for some payment methods like PayPal, we've actually negotiated a better value rate than you'd get by accepting payments with PayPal directly - 2.49% + $0.40 (versus 3.49% + $0.49). We're always in your corner when negotiating the best rates with our payment method providers.
As a Creator, you can choose whether or not to accept certain payment methods from the , so if you were to decide that the Gateway Fee for a particular payment method was too high, we leave the decision to you as to whether you'd like to continue accepting payments through that particular method, or not.
Usually free, or around $20.
If you're charged, this fee is taken from the money in your Tebex Wallet when the chargeback is received.
If you're covered by our Seller Protection, which most of our Creators are, then you won't pay anything if you receive a chargeback / payment dispute on any of your payments. Additionally, we won't take away any money you gained from the transaction in question, that's our Seller Protection. We will fight any chargebacks on your behalf and even if we lose any, you won't be affected.
If we can't cover you with our Seller Protection, we'll let you know via email. When you receive a chargeback, we'll remove $20 (the chargeback fee) plus the amount of the payment in question while the chargeback is open. If the chargeback is lost, the disputed funds are not returned to you.
The amount of the payment + the gateway fee will be charged.
This fee is taken from the money in your Tebex Wallet when the refund is issued.
If you refund a payment, the Gateway Fee will be charged to you again, in addition to the payment amount itself. For example, if you wish to refund a $5 payment and the Gateway Fee is $0.20, then you refund this payment, you will be charged $0.20 for the initial payment and then $0.20 for issuing a refund, for a total of $0.40 in Gateway Fees + the amount of the payment ($5).
An additional 1% of the full payment amount.
This fee is taken away from the payment before you, or your influencers, receive the money in your Tebex Wallet(s).
This fee helps us cover the cost of handling the payouts to your influencers for you.
