Coupons
You'll need Tebex Plus to use this feature, see Starter & Plus Plans.
Coupons allow you to generate and create codes which can be given to your customers. For example, you could generate or create a custom code that gives a customer a 50% discount on a particular package. They're great to use in marketing material and are a proven way to increase your store's revenue when used properly.

How To Create A Coupon Code
From the left-sidebar click 'Engagement' then 'Coupons'.
Click 'Create Your First Coupon' or 'Create Coupon'.
Next up, you'll need to check and fill out each of the relevant fields to setup your Coupon properly, here's a rundown of each field:
Code This is the code, (it can be numbers and letters) that the customer will type in to get the discounts you're setting up. If you don't want to create a code yourself and want to generate a random one, use the 'Generate Code' button on the right of the box. Effective On This allows you to select whether the coupon is restricted to be effective on specific packages, categories or whether it should be able to discount everything. If you choose the 'Packages' or 'Categories' options, you'll be prompted to select which packages or categories you'd like the coupon to apply to. Discount Type This gives you the option to either give a percentage or amount-based discount. If you choose 'Percentage', you'll be asked to give the number of percentage points you'd like the discount to be. If you choose 'Amount', you'll be asked to give the amount you wish the discount to be. Start Date The start date and time that the coupon will start being valid from. Expiry Date The end date for the coupon, after this date/time the coupon won't be accepted. Optionally, you can check the 'Never' box in this field to set your coupon to be active until you manually disable it, if you like. Redeem Limit (Optional) If defined, this is the maximum number of times the coupon can be used by everyone. Coupon Application Rule This defines how your coupon should be applied to a customer's basket. To explain how these options work, we'll assume the coupon code we're creating will discount 10% and that the customer is purchasing two packages:
Package A - $5.00
Package B - $10.00
If you choose 'Apply to each qualifying package individually', the 10% discount will be given to both packages individually, so the customer would pay:
Package A - $5.00 - 10% = $4.50
Package B - $10.00 - 10% = $9.00
Total in this case = $13.50
If you choose 'Apply to basket containing qualifying packages before sales' and you had a sale running that the customer also qualified for, the coupon code would take money off the full price of the package(s) in question, the sale would then apply to those prices afterwards. For example, let's suppose we had a 20% sale, in addition to our coupon:
The Customer's Basket: ($15.00 - 10% = $13.50) - 20% = $10.80
If you choose 'Apply to basket containing qualifying packages after sales' and you had a sale running that the customer also qualified for, the coupon code would take money off the after-sale-price of the package(s) in question. For example, let's suppose again that we had a 20% sale, in addition to our coupon:
The Customer's Basket: ($15.00 - 20% = $12.00) - 10% = $10.80
But these results are the same! We used the examples above though, to show you how we work out the pricing depending on the setting you choose. Note that the following settings could cause differences between the methods:
If the coupon is for a fixed amount discount (e.g. "$2 off"), and not a percentage.
If the coupon has a minimum basket value requirement.
If the coupon only applies to specific packages.
Minimum Basket Value (Optional) If defined, this is the minimum value of packages that must be present in the basket before the coupon code can be applied. Redeem Limit Per Customer/IP (Optional) If defined, this is the maximum number of times each individual customer or IP address can redeem and use the coupon. Username (Optional) If defined, this restricts who can use the coupon to the username provided. Note (Optional) A note for your own records.
Once you have entered the relevant information, click 'Create', and your coupon will now be ready to use and you can give the code out to customers.
Go Further You can create and manage coupons through our Plugin API.
How To Change The Maximum Number Of Coupons That Can Be Redeemed Per Basket
From the left-sidebar click 'Engagement' then 'Coupons'.
Click Settings, in the top-right corner.
Here, you can manage the maximum number of coupons that can be redeemed per basket.
By default, the number of coupons that can be redeemed on a single basket (default 0) is unlimited. If you wish to limit the use of coupons to a single coupon, this limit should be changed to 1, for example.
